Introducing Dr Kieran Muir to our Neurology clinic.
Consultant Physician and Nephrologist – BSc, MD, FRACP
Dr Muir will be working each Thursday and Friday in our Tumbi Umbi rooms
Dr. Kieran Muir is a highly skilled consultant physician and nephrologist specializing in preventative kidney care.
A graduate of the University of Sydney’s MD program, he completed his initial medical training for over five years on the Central Coast.
His expertise spans all aspects of general nephrology, including early kidney disease management through to renal transplantation. Dr. Muir holds special interests in kidney stone prevention, lipid disorders, diabetic kidney disease, and complex hypertension. He adopts a holistic, patient-centered approach to care, prioritizing individualized treatment plans.
As a nephrology advanced trainee in Sydney’s Renal Eastern Network, Dr. Muir actively advanced kidney care through research and medical education. His academic contributions include research on diabetic kidney disease. He regularly attends national and international conferences to integrate emerging therapies into clinical practice, ensuring patients receive evidence-based, cutting-edge treatments.
